play with yield and push

Description
This class explored the interplay between pushing and yielding , how we meet the world through resistance, support, and response. We began by noticing the feedback we receive from our environment: the floor, blocks, and other points of contact. Through this foundational connection, we explored how the body responds when we push into something, and how that action invites a response from within. Hands, feet, head, and other bodily endpoints became points of exploration as we moved between postures and freer movement. In Downward Dog, for example, we played with the hands pushing into the earth while allowing the tail to reach back and away. We explored our edges and boundaries, noticing how they can be both defined and expanded. Variations of postures were welcomed as we played with push and pull, resistance and release, effort and ease discovering new possibilities within the ranges of our own vessel.
