Holiday Companion virtual retreat
This class is part of a five-day container created during the 2020 incubation period. It begins with reflective journaling around the intention for the five days, inviting participants to explore the qualities they wish to embody and call into their lives. Participants are also invited to consider the perspective that life may be conspiring for our awakening, reflecting on what experiences have revealed their gifts and the strengths developed through challenge. The movement practice focuses on subtle, micro-level cues within asana, cultivating deep awareness and presence in the body. A key thread throughout the class is the interconnectedness of structure, clarity, and freedom, discovering how clear structure supports clarity in perception, which in turn allows freedom of expression to emerge. As the first class in the five-part series, it remains closer to structure and form while laying the foundation for the deeper exploration that unfolds across the container.

Levity & adaptability This class opens with breathwork, including Kapalabhati, to awaken the body and energise the system. Movement explores the qualities of buoyancy, reciprocity, and adaptability, shifting fluidly between asana and free movement. There is a continuous sense of rebound and response, where small, present movements carry the same potency as larger expressions. Imagery guides exploration through space, including off-axis movement, the edges of range, and the integration of sound with motion. The practice gradually slows into subtle, rhythmic pumping actions, supporting the circulation and vitalisation of the body.

This class centres on slow, energetic awareness, inviting attunement and intuitive movement that prioritises flow and undulation over fixed structure and form. Drawing on embryological awareness of the spine, the practice explores pathways of connectivity, both physical and energetic, allowing movement to emerge from within these subtle relationships. There are moments of stillness and simple postures that support a deeper energetic connection, quieting the mind and attuning to the body’s energy centres. Free movement remains slow, deep, and internal, gently massaging and awakening the central axis of the body. The overall tone supports a sense of rest, reset, and reconnection, allowing movement to arise from a more integrated and receptive state.

This class centres on the theme of curation through Self, a practice of listening inwardly and allowing movement to arise in service to iccha shakti, the impulse of desire. Drawing on tantric non-duality and the quiet luminosity of the moon, the space invites a felt sense of unity, where body, breath, and environment are experienced as one continuous field. There is an intimacy cultivated through touch, proximity, and awareness of body parts in relation, with the feet acting as receptive antennas, listening and responding to space. The practice weaves between directional form and free movement, encouraging a deep trust in the body’s impulses. Following iccha becomes the guide, with full commitment to what is felt moment to moment. Ultimately, the class becomes a process of refining perception, curating experience from within, and recognising desire not as distraction, but as a pathway through which the body reveals direction.

The class begins with a simple heart-centred ritual, using four meaningful items to represent different aspects of self. It explores the pulse of the heart, both physically and energetically, how it wraps, extends through the arteries, and connects with the whole body, including its relationship to the lungs. The body is felt as something continually renewing, guided by the rhythm of the heart. Movement gradually builds, with pauses between asana for absorption, leading toward the peak moment where the items are fully brought into practice. This becomes the ignition point, an empowering, emotional, and deeply reflective somatic experience that fuels the fire of the heart. From here, the practice softens into a spacious cool down, allowing the body to integrate what has been felt, understood, and expressed
Liminal Space Retreat / Moments of transition
Held on New Year’s Eve, this class explores the theme of the liminal space, the threshold between what was and what is yet to come. The practice begins with journaling, reflecting on what is being released and what qualities are being called in. Four of these qualities are chosen and each is represented by an item placed in the space, forming a personal altar. Through gentle attunement and subtle movement, the body is prepared as a vessel for transmission. Breathwork and asana build heat and activation, using the hands around the energy centres to awaken and integrate the whole system. From here, movement becomes directional and intentional, returning to each item as a touchpoint, embodying the chosen qualities from within. The practice invites a deep sense of transition, where the unknown is met through presence, embodiment, and choice.
